Another reason I love my wife…

“Did you read the new catalog**?”

“Yeah, looks really good.”

“Thanks.”

“Just one question though.”

“Okay”

“Who’s James Fenimore COPPER?”

“Oh crap.”

“Better call the printer.”

“Yeah.”

“And while you’re on the phone with him, you might want to ask him if he’s heard of an artist called NORMAL Rockwell, cause I know I sure haven’t.”

“Noooo…”

“Oh, and I’ve NEVER seen a letter written on STATIONARY before. No wonder you want so much money for it…”

Thanks sweetie. Without you, I wouldn’t know there’s a difference between ’stationary’ and ’stationery.’

**New catalogs (#2!) will be available at the San Francisco Book Fair this weekend. I’ll be in booth 427 (I think…). Copies will be in the mail and on the website next week.

For the record, I was NOT mean (as depicted above), and I was highly complimentary (as opposed to complementary) of several offerings in the new catalog. Really: Sweetster, Sweester, what’s the difference? :)
